Questions for SeekersFor those new to the craft, here is a list of questions that you should ask yourself before venturing down this road.
1. What does the Craft mean to me? 2. Why am I interested in the Craft? 3. What will my friends and family think of my spiritual path? 4. Do I have other friends or family members that are part of the Craft or have an interest in it? 5. Do I want to learn a tradition or do I want to learn on my own? 6. Do I want to work with a coven or by myself? 7. What do I hope to accomplish by practicing the Craft? 8. Am I ready for the change of lifestyle that comes with learning the Craft? 9. Am I ready to dedicate my time and effort into learning the Craft? 10. What can I contribute to the Craft? 11. Will I be able to explain the Craft to those that question my beliefs? 12. Am I ready to face society should my beliefs become public? 13. Can I respect all other religions? 14. Can I continue to respect those that disagree with my religious choices? |
What is the purpose of these questions?
Asking yourself these questions will give you an idea of what you are really doing. You cannot simply walk into an open door not knowing where you are going. Everyone has an idea of where that door leads, who might be behind it, what might happen once crossed, and what the outcome could possibly be. You never want to enter into anything without asking yourself if it something you really want. Do you really want to learn this? Do you really know what this is? Do you understand what some people might think? Do you understand what you are getting yourself into?
Question everything you do in life. Take no answer lightly because your path and all turns you make in life, depend on these very questions. |
